Sixty years later, Carl Hansen still produces the Wishbone chair as Wegner intended—with traditional bent woods and woven paper seats— but without letting prices spiral out of control. “It cannot be cheaply produced,” Christian Skovhus, owner of Icons of Denmark, says. “If a copy exists, it’s been glued or laminated and has no longevity.”

Harvey Nichols Wine Shops will launch Hayman's Sloe Gin, a traditional English liqueur which has previously only been available for private use. Made to a long standing recipe, from the oldest gin distilling family in the UK, this fabulously versatile gin has a ruby red colour and intense smooth flavour.

This gin is made by steeping the English native sloe berry, a type of wild plum which comes from the blackthorn tree, for several months with Hayman's Gin which is blended with natural sugars to give the drink its distinctive flavour.

This great cocktail cabinet addition can be used to make a number of classic drinks, including The Blackthorn, which first appeared in the 1800's. First, mix Hayman's Sloe Gin and sweet vermouth (2:3 parts) over ice. Strain into cocktail glasses, add a twist of lemon and serve.

Within the next year, Women’s Wear Daily head­lined his “Star Quality,” Harper's Bazaar christened him an “Instant Icon,” and The New York Times singled out his work in coverage of the Metro­politan Museum’s Costume Institute, where it was already enshrined. That winter, Madonna wore Theyskens to the Oscars.

In the decade since, he has lent his power to two international brands, “restoring the fortunes,” as Vogue put it, of the house of Rochas, and then moving on to Nina Ricci as artistic director. His work has appeared on the cover of French, British, and American Vogue worn by Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, among other stars. Even the most casually fashion conscious consumers know his name, his striking face, and his dark, soft, and often-flattering aesthetic.

This requires that the leather be stretched in three directions in order to get it to fit around the toe and heel without any additional seams. United Arab Emirates, Al Ain is in the beginning stages of development on a state-of-the-art luxury zoo. The multibillion-dirham resort is expected to be completed by 2014. Rie Rasmussen, is the new Muse of Perrier Jouët


More than just a celebrity, Rie Rasmussen is a talented artist who decided to get behind the camera after her lead role in a Luc Besson masterpiece, Angel‐A, a wonderful French black and white feature film set in Paris.

She wrote and directed her first short film that got selected at the Cannes film festival of 2004 when she was only 24. She recently produced her first feature film “Human Zoo” that will air on screens this year.

She also enjoys drawing and painting and published her first book “Grafiske Historier” including her works and featuring her self-portraits that appeared in Vogue magazine.


During her visit at the Perrier Jouët house, Rie Rasmussen was filmed exploring the cellars, tasting the Belle Epoque with Hervé Deschamps and painting the 3 drawings with champagne.
