SEREMBAN: A former state assemblyman was in for a shock when three men jumped into his car and took him for a terror ride before dumping him at Bukit Putus, near here, yesterday.
Former Bukit Kepayang assemblyman Chan Kee Voon, was on his way home to Taman Seremban Jaya after dropping his son at a school in Ampangan when he was confronted by the robbers.
Deputy district police chief Superintendent Mohd Yusoff Awang said the three robbers who turned up in a Proton Saga, obstructed the victim's car at Dusun Nyior, Rahang.
Yusoff said the victim tried to lock the car doors when he saw the men approaching, but one of the suspects was quick and pushed him to the front passenger seat while another entered through the back door.
"Two of the suspects quickly took over the victim's car, tying his hands and blindfolding him before dumping him at Bukit Putus. The suspects also robbed the victim of RM6,000."
Yusoff urged those with information on the case to come forward to assist police in their investigations. - NST
